Founded in 1928, Ozinga is a fifth-generation, family-owned American company, leading the industry in ready mix concrete, aggregate and cement solutions. From small town driveways to stadiums and skyscrapers, our purpose is to make a positive impact on individuals, their families and the community for generations. Join us to hear conversations with those who share a similar purpose — whether they’re a thought leader in their field or one of our own expert coworkers — as we discuss what we’ve made, what we can build on and the legacy we’ll leave behind.
Celebrating its 60th anniversary this month, the Chicago Architecture Center’s mission is to spotlight why design matters, through youth education, civic advocacy, exhibitions and more. Known worldwide for their spectacular river boat tours — rated the best in the nation by both USA Today and TripAdvisor — the CAC remains one of the largest non-profit cultural organizations in the city, attracting over 500,000 patrons annually. As CEO/President of the organization, and a licensed architect with over 25 years experience in historic preservation and urban planning, Eleanor Esser Gorski explains today how she’s made equity and community central to her career, and how the CAC is powered by hundreds of passionate volunteers. Plus, why Chicago is known iconically around the globe as The City of Architecture. Full video of this episode is available at http://ozinga.com/podcasts.

Chasing Zero
As a leader in ready mix concrete, aggregates and cement, Ozinga sees the call for safety being everywhere: beyond the construction site, and well after we’ve punched out. On Chasing Zero, Ozinga Health & Safety VP Adam Pummer discusses how industry experts and fellow coworkers are leading by example to help increase safety and eliminate incidents and injuries.
Fist fights. Car chases. Walking through fire. — It’s all in a day’s work for the LeFevours at Midwest Stunts Chicago. As stunt coordinators on the NBC dramas Chicago Fire and Chicago Med respectively, the father-son duo of Rick Sr. and Rick Jr. have done it all in film and television (whether hanging from buildings or flipping semi-trucks), while ensuring the safety of the cast, crew and their fellow stunt performers. Today, in conversation with Ozinga Health & Safety VP Adam Pummer, the pair give us a peek behind the curtain of their industry, explaining all the dazzle and dangers that come with it. Plus, stories from Rick Sr.’s 250+ film career, including Home Alone, The Dark Knight, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and Groundhog Day. Watch Chicago Med, Fire and P.D. Wednesday nights on NBC, or stream them all on Peacock.
