The CIM Auction: Supporting the Next Generation of Concrete Professionals
Ozinga is proud to announce our continued support for the Concrete Industry Management (CIM) Auction at the upcoming World of Concrete 2025. This annual event isn’t just a fundraiser—it’s a catalyst for empowering future leaders in the concrete industry.
An Auction with Impact
The 2025 CIM Auction, happening on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, aims to surpass its previous milestones. The 2024 auction was a tremendous success, raising over $1.8 million in gross revenue. This year, CIM organizers, industry leaders, and supporters are determined to set a new record, and we’re excited to contribute to these efforts.
The auction offers a fantastic mix of items, from heavy-duty concrete equipment and construction products to travel packages and sports memorabilia. For example, Mack Trucks and Revolution Concrete Mixers have donated a 2025 Mack® Granite® chassis complete with a Bridgemaster™ Mixer—an invaluable addition to the auction lineup. Similarly, Peterbilt Motors Company and Con-Tech Manufacturing Inc. are contributing a 2025 Peterbilt Model 567 with an extreme-duty mixer. These extraordinary donations exemplify the unwavering commitment of industry leaders to the professional development of the next generation.
Why the CIM Program Matters
The proceeds from the auction directly fund the CIM National Steering Committee (NSC) and its impressive educational initiatives. The CIM program, launched in 1996 as the first of its kind in the United States, is a business-driven, four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Concrete Industry Management. It is currently offered at institutions like Middle Tennessee State University, California State University – Chico, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Texas State University, and South Dakota State University. The program also includes an Executive MBA in CIM designed for mid-career professionals. Proceeds from the auction help support scholarships, enhance the student learning experience, and fund campus programs.

By donating to the auction or participating as a bidder, you’re not just supporting a remarkable event—you’re investing in the future of the concrete industry.
The Role of Education in Driving Innovation
Education is essential for equipping young professionals with the skills to adapt to an evolving industry. CIM graduates emerge ready to tackle the complexities of materials science, sustainability, and cutting-edge construction techniques. The expertise they bring to the table is critical for driving innovation, efficiency, and stability in concrete and construction sectors.
Brian Gallagher, CIM Marketing Committee Chairman, highlighted the importance of giving back to ensure the industry’s future strength. “The annual CIM Auction is a critical funding mechanism for the CIM NSC,” Gallagher said. “We’re blessed with tremendous support from the concrete industry, and World of Concrete Show Management has been an amazing partner.”
