Ozinga Wins 2 Environmental Excellence Awards

Ozinga’s Henry and Channahon, IL locations were recently awarded Bronze-level Environmental Excellence Awards from the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA). 

The Excellence Awards recognize operations that actively demonstrate a commitment to the exemplary use of environmental controls and systems. 

“I am extremely proud of our coworkers and managers at these locations,” said Tim Theobald, General Manager of Sales and Operations for Ozinga’s aggregates business unit. “The pride, commitment and ownership needed to continually earn these types of achievements is the undeniable difference in our culture.”    

Ozinga earned this award in 2020 as well.

“NSSGA takes pride in our member’s innovative methods and constant drive to operate as top-tier environmental stewards of the land,” said NSSGA President & CEO Michael Johnson. “With the recent Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, the demand for aggregates is higher than ever. Our members continue to provide these critical materials while exceeding environmental standards. I am thrilled to congratulate all the environmental winners.” 

Award recipients were honored September 22 at the NSSGA Legislative & Policy Forum.
