We help ensure we are fulfilling our purpose by effectively managing our energy and sustainability targets, increasing the efficiency of our energy use, and by continually reducing emissions to the environment.
The objectives of our Energy and Sustainability policy are:
– To provide a consistent methodology to improve our energy performance.
– To provide a consistent methodology to reduce greenhouse gases and other emissions to the environment.
To meet this commitment, we will:
- Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable local laws and regulations.
- Establish specific areas of responsibility and define the roles and interaction of facility managers, company engineers, and other coworkers.
- Plan, review and evaluate our energy performance against measurable goals and industry best practices to drive continual improvement.
- Continue to develop and distribute new sustainable product lines and services.
- Continue to explore renewable energy options, alternative transportation fuels and new vehicle technologies.
- Manage risk and cost through procurement strategies, where applicable.
- Manage relationships with energy suppliers to ensure that rates, invoicing, and delivery schedules are the most cost-effective option.
- Promote environmentally friendly behaviors and attitudes to all coworkers and encourage suppliers and customers to adopt similar practices.
- Set goals to achieve US EPA recognitions, ISO certifications, or other applicable certifications and recognition, where practical.
- Ensure continual improvement in our energy performance and sustainability targets.
