Community: Bringing Joy To Brixon

Every morning, Katy Fillipp takes her 3-year-old son and infant daughter on a walk near our Sycamore, Illinois yard. And every morning, her son, Brixon, keeps his eyes peeled for the “candy-cane-striped ‘qwonqwete’ mixers” waiting for the trucks to honk at him.

Little did our drivers know that a simple wave and honk of the horn could bring so much enjoyment to a family that has had a devastating year.
