Driver Jeff Hanus Saves Life of Unknown Motorist

On Saturday, November 4, Jeff Hanus was preparing to pull away from a jobsite at I-55 and Rt. 53 when a car pulled in front of his red and white striped Ozinga truck. The driver of the car emerged signaling that she was choking. Hanus quickly administered the Abdominal Thrust Maneuver and was able to clear the woman’s airway. She waved to him, quickly returned to her car, which appeared to have two small children inside, and drove away.

A United States Army veteran, Jeff has been driving for Ozinga since 2014.
