February 17, 2021, (Mokena, IL) – Ozinga, one of the nation’s oldest ready mix producers, announced today that Justin Ozinga has been appointed the role of president of Ozinga. Marty Ozinga IV, who had previously been president and chief executive officer, will continue as CEO of Ozinga.
Justin Ozinga has more than 15 years of senior leadership experience, including serving for the past six years as president of Ozinga’s ready mix operations in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and South Florida.
“I’m excited to announce that Justin is expanding his responsibilities beyond our ready mix operation to be president of our core business, which also includes our cement and aggregates operations,” said Marty Ozinga, Ozinga CEO. “My brothers and I have full confidence that Justin will continue to lead Ozinga in making lasting impressions on our coworkers, customers and the community for generations to come.”
“It is my honor and privilege to accept this new role,” said Justin Ozinga. “As I look back at the best moments of my career, it is always the relationships and the impacts, whether small or large, that are the most meaningful. It’s exciting to grow the business and break new records, but the positive impacts we have on each other and the community at large has, by far, the most eternal value.”
Justin will become the company’s fifth president since its founding in 1928. He is joined by his five brothers and one cousin in the fourth generation of ownership, all of whom are currently working in the business.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and business from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA. He has served on numerous not-for-profit boards, including serving as president of the board at Reclaim13, a 501(c)3 committed to freeing children from sexual exploitation.
Justin, his wife Annie, and their five daughters reside in Frankfort, IL.
